LineageOS Ends Official Nougat Android Support - Focuses Android Pie

LineageOS is an Android-based AOSP operating system with lots of interesting features and functions. LineageOS is also a substitute for CyanogenMod which was once known for its Custom ROM.

Recently, LineageOS officially terminated the official support of their Nougat Android builds. This means that no new version of ROM or built-in ROM will be provided for this operating system. Over 70 devices that support LineageOS 14.1 will now be supported. Among the affected devices are, Xiaomi Mi 3 / Mi 4, Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge, Sony Xperia Z5 and more.

The purpose of LineageOS to end LineageOS 14.1 support is because they are preparing for the development of LineageOS 16.0 which is based on Android Pie. For loyal users with Android Nougat, can only wait for development from developers who are still actively developing Androi Nougat.
